The Elite Cycle Warriors are back and started the Love to Ride Challenge of May 2024. The helmets have been dusted down, bikes oiled, tires checked and we are off…!
There’s something undeniably exhilarating about the arrival of May – the birds chirping, the flowers blooming, and of course, the almost perfect weather (we do live in Scotland!), for some epic cycling adventures. And what better way to celebrate than by joining fellow cyclists in the ultimate two-wheeled showdown?
The Love to Ride Challenge is not just any ordinary cycling event – it’s a month-long extravaganza filled with camaraderie, competition, and, most importantly, a whole lot of fun! Whether you’re a seasoned pro or just dusting off your old cruiser, there’s a place for everyone in this pedal-powered fiesta.
So, what are you waiting for? Grab your bike, rally your friends and colleagues, and let’s make this May one for the record books. The road awaits, fellow cycle warriors – let’s ride!

As Winter departs and Spring beckons, lighter nights arrive so some of the team headed to the bowls for a bit of indoor fun and a night at the ten-pin bowling. Blowing off some steam (Very relevant for one of our customers projects just now!) a few bowls were thrown down the lane and knocking over a few pins (sometimes!) whilst trying to avoid that nasty gutter (more often than some of us would have liked) helped get rid of a few cobwebs and helped get everyone out of the rain for a while.

As the festive season approaches our team extends warm wishes to everyone for the upcoming festivities.
Should you need our help over this period our office opening hours are:
- The Pre-Engineering/Sales Office will be closed from the 25 December 2023 until the 2 January 2024
- Our Engineering department will be closed from the 25 December 2023 until the 2 January 2024
- Support – Customers with a support contract will be able to access our dedicated team 24/7. If you experience any issues or require remote support, please contact your dedicated support line number as normal and one of the team will assist.
For any customers who do not have a support contract in place but have concerns over this period then please contact us as soon as possible to discuss options and where we may be able to assist and provide cover including the setup of dedicated remote access support.

The Elite Cycle Warriors have triumphantly crossed the finish line in the Love to Ride September Challenge. They secured 1st place in the Engineering and Manufacturing category for both West Lothian and, a first in Scotland, as well as a commendable 8th place on the UK leaderboard.
This remarkable achievement owes itself to the unwavering dedication and hard work of the Warriors. Well done and congratulations to all the team on what is an extraordinary accomplishment.
As the Elite Cycle Warriors take a well-deserved rest and reflection time with a few beers, Mars Bars etc) they are already planning and gearing up for the next Love to Ride challenge.
In September, the Love to Ride team welcomed an impressive participation of 25,582 individuals across the UK who collectively pedalled 3,728,776 miles, resulting in a substantial reduction of 398,053 lbs of CO2. This is equivalent to taking 1,488 cars off the road for an entire month! Elite are delighted to have done our own wee bit in contributing to a greener Scotland and a sustainable future for us all.

With just a few days remaining in the September Challenge, the Elite Cycle Warriors maintain their narrow lead at the top of the West Lothian Leaderboard, while also securing a highly respectable 8th place in the Engineering and Manufacturing UK Leaderboard.
As the finish line approaches, the question on everyone’s mind is whether the warriors can maintain their lead. The answer will be revealed once the results are in next week. We wish all participants the best of luck in these final moments of the competition.
